8 Things Only Pro Gamers Know About The XBOX ONE

It’s hard to believe the Nintendo Switch has already been with us for over a year, but after a slow start (in terms of games, not sales), things are looking very, very well for Nintendo. They’ve built something of pure magic: the Nintendo Switch is an HD console that lets you play it however you want. Whether you’re at home, at the park, or in the backseat of a car, you could whip out the Switch and have some fun. Every major hardware manufacturer has tried to capture the spirit of the Switch, from Microsoft’s “snap” mode on the Xbox One to Sony’s Vita and PS3 vision of cloud saves.

With both triple A titles and indie games to choose from, the Nintendo Switch has a tremendous library of games and it’s only getting bigger. Whether it’s a new IP, ports of fan-favourites and sequels galore, the Switch has so much to offer. Whether it’s Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, or the incredible launch title The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, there are so many games to choose from and we’re all looking forward to when a Super Smash Bros. game is released on the system!

But today, we’re not going to be talking about the best games for the Nintendo Switch. Instead, we’ll be focusing on some lesser known aspects of the console and there’s so much more to say about Nintendo’s newest system. Today, we’re tackling the features that only the pros know about. Without further ado, let’s check out some amazing hidden features of the Nintendo Switch! Here's 10 Things Only Pro Gamers Know About The NINTENDO SWITCH

10 Nintendo Switch Tips & Tricks You Probably Didn't Know

THE NINTENDO SWITCH might seem like a barebones system on the surface. While it has some awesome unique features, it lacks many things you’ll find on the Xbox One or PS4. Even so, the Nintendo Switch has a number of hidden features you probably don’t know about.

This is TheGamers list of Nintendo Switch Tips and Tricks You Probably Didn’t Know.

Did you know you can use a USB keyboard to input text on Switch? Or that Nintendo has tucked a full-fledged internet browser onto the system, just out of sight? And those Joy-Con controllers are much more versatile than they seem at first. Not only can you use them to play Switch games, but you can even connect them to your phone or computer to play games. If you’ve ever binged through a game only to wonder how much time you actually poured into it, the Switch lets you check your play time in any game you’ve played. Not only that, but the Switch can also turn on your TV.

And don’t think you’re locked into games released in your region. You can set up a new eShop account to buy and play games from any region. If you’re in the mood for a new game but don’t want to spend a lot of money, you can see which games are on sale at any time in the eShop. If you frequently find yourself running through your battery’s charge, you might want to get yourself an external battery pack to squeeze out more playtime. If you’re the only one who plays your Switch, you can make it stop asking which user you are each time you start up a new game. And finally, if you manage to lose track of a Joy-Con, the Switch can help you find it.

Not a bad set of features for such a tiny game console.

Nintendo are known as the most innovative video game company in the world and for good reason. They were the first ones to introduce motion controls to our consoles with the Wii and they pushed even further with the Nintendo Switch. The Switch is the first truly hybrid console capable of being played at home on a big screen TV using the dock or on the road through the console itself. It has literally changed the way we game.

It’s hard to believe that the Nintendo Switch is already a year and a half old. We remember launch day like it was yesterday, but here we are almost two years later. Over that time, we’ve seen our fair share of incredible games and there are some you need to have in your library. Enjoy and subscribe to TheGamer for even more videos like this one!

Title: Wasteland 2 - Directors Cut
Developer: inXile Entertainment
Purchase: [Steam Version]

About Wasteland 2 Directors Cut:

Wasteland 2 is Post Apocalyptic, Tactical Role-Playing Game from inXile Entertainment. A sequel to the classic RPG Wasteland [a 1988 post-apocalyptic computer role-playing game] which was the predecessor of the more widely known Fallout series. In Wasteland 2 you control a group of four Desert Rangers and up to three Non-Player Characters. The game pits you against the hard wastes from the onset; you will have to use your wits, brawn, smack talking and well explosives to make your way through.

This new, 'Directors Cut; version improves the graphics, UI, adds additional voice over work, a more refined combat system and much much more.

10 Things You Didn't Know Your Nintendo Switch Could Do

Are you getting the most out of your Switch? 10 Things You Didn't Know Your Nintendo Switch Could Do! Subscribe now to TheGamer!

Welcome back to the Gamer! Today we are discussing the features unique to the Switch. We all know Nintendo has huge reputation for their extraordinary attention to detail and that’s what we are going to talk about today.
First Minecraft Story Mode is coming! This will be a great breath of fresh air for all of those who have been patiently waiting. The game will be out later in August 2017. Next, we discuss the frame rate lagging issue that occurs when Nintendo switches are not put in airplane or manual mode. This trick is a must!
From there we talk about the impressive catalog of games. If that wasn’t enough, don’t fret, users can play any Eshop game from around the world, regardless of their physical location. With that, another hidden feature that you may not know is that online multiplayer is free! Not for long, though, ends Fall 2017. Whenever that is. Next we talk about the Switch’s processor. Notably it’s an ARM and how this impacts some of the Switch’s best features.
Have you purchased the Pro Controller? We love it- there’s a hidden feature as well. We’re we the first to tell you? How about the hidden facebook hack? Yep, that one exists, and frankly, is to be expected. We’re not sure why, but the Switch is also keyboard compatible. Must be docked, though, as that’s where you’ll find the USB’s. This one’s for the more experienced gamer, but we talk about controller calibration. Not just for nerds, the calibration tool is great for certain people.
Lastly, we talk about a pair of hacked Joy-Con’s. We wonder what role they play in Nintendo’s future.

Pokémon Quest is an action-adventure Pokémon spin-off game developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokémon Company. It was released for the Nintendo Switch in May 2018, with versions for Android and iOS devices to be released the following month.

Pokémon Quest features a blocky, voxel-style design similar to Minecraft. The game is set in Tumblecube Island, featuring cube-shaped Pokémon called Pokéxel. The Pokémon featured in the game are from the original lineup from the Kanto region in Pokémon Red and Blue. Players can build base camps which attract Pokémon onto their team. When roaming around the island, players can bring up to three Pokémon with them. To attack other Pokémon, the player needs to wait for a meter to fill up and tap a move for the Pokémon to attack. At base camp, you can cook food to attract more Pokémon

The Sad Truth About Nintendo Switch Cartridges

The Nintendo Switch console has had an amazing life ever since it debuted, giving fans plenty of awesome first party games and more indie titles than players can fit on their internal memory. But when it comes to third party titles that enjoy a presence on multiple platforms, Nintendo Switch owners often find that the price tag is just a little higher than that of their Xbox One or PlayStation 4 counterparts. Why do these games, usually some of which are previous releases that have received ports on the Switch, cost so much more? It might be confusing to longtime gamers and perhaps even infuriating for some Nintendo fans who want to stay loyal to the company, but there’s a pretty interesting reason that pretty much boils down to Nintendo’s medium of choice. It turns out that the Nintendo Switch cartridges are to blame, mainly because they’re not easy to produce in mass quantities.

Compared to CDs, DVDs, or even Blu-Ray discs, the game cartridges are specially manufactured and are different from mass market SD cards, although they do look fairly similar. Because Nintendo works with specific partners to create these storage cards, they end up costing just a bit more. It’s not fun to hear and it’s not fun to learn, but that’s the harsh reality of things. Let’s take a more detailed look at how this process makes it so that Nintendo Switch games are a little more expensive.
