4K | Planescape Torment – Original vs. Enhanced Edition Graphics Comparison

GameStar PCs | Gaming PCs & Notebooks:
After almost 18 years Planescape Torment gets an Enhanced Edition – some sort of remaster with the focus to make it playable on current PC systems with resolution support up to 2160p but keep the original visuals. We compare the visuals & graphics of Planescape Torment original and Enhanced Edition on PC. The original version is played at 640 to 480p while the Enhanced Edition is played at 2160p. Besides those visual enhancements the Enhanced Edition offers remastered musci and improved gameplay features such as zooming, combat log and quickloot. It also contains bug fixes. Furthermore Chris Avellone requested the chance to review the entire text of Planescape: Torment and made thousands of corrections and improvements. It is available through gog.com.

A world not built for you

This is not for all games, but it’s what I look for in RPGs where I want to be immersed in the world. For guaranteed fun 100% of the time I’ll play a game or genre that doesn’t take itself so seriously.

This quest is not exactly representative of BG2 as a whole. Most of its other quest’s puzzles are silly, out of place word riddles.

This quest isn’t perfect either, far from it. I didn’t highlight all the ways it fails and at times does the opposite of worldbuilding. There’s far too many secret doors for a real castle, and all they do is annoy players. If Nalia has lived here all her life, she should be able to provide more direction. She doesn’t care if you ransack the place. The enemies are not varied enough and are in odd places, standing there doing nothing all day, they have no sense of purpose. The fights are boring, not challenging until the basement when the difficulty spikes too hard. So I understand if you hate this quest, but looking at how it fails is kinda boring. What really inspires me to make videos is when a game succeeds at doing things most other games don’t even attempt.

When watching the let’s players struggle with this quest, it made me doubt my conclusions. Why did I enjoy it as a player and cringe at how bad it was when I was watching others go through the same steps? The key difference was immersion. When watching I wasn’t immersed, all I could see was players missing things and struggling to solve problems I knew all the answers for. Every negative experience I saw was a flaw to fix. When playing I was complaining about certain things too, but I came out positive on the whole experience precisely because of those things. It’s something to keep in mind when watching other players.

In your search for answers, you'll find companions matching the bizarre nature of the planes: a chaste succubus who can kill with a kiss, a confused crossbow-wielding cube, a suit of armor animated by a spirit demanding JUSTICE, and more. With these companions and others at The Nameless One’s side, you will explore worlds in search of answers, all to discover that some destinies cannot be escaped and some memories cost more than an even an immortal can bear.

Neverwinter Nights Newbie Starter Guide

Hello and welcome to Lord Fenton Gaming Plays Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition. I am your host Lord Fenton. In my Neverwinter Nights Newbie Starter guide, we will go over the campaigns to plays, character creation and my thoughts on anything else to help you get started. In this guide I advise the players to either play the original campaign since it has a very nice tutorial, or Shadows of Underentide for slightly less tutorial but better story. Those of you who started Neverwinter nights 1 the first time avoid the Hordes of the Underdark due to it starts at level 15 and you will have a hard time first time you play an Neverwinter Nights Campaign. This guide will go over everything and briefly over feats system so you can take your time and pick what feels right for you. So sit back and watch the video.

Campaigns to Play and Not to Play if first timer: 0:50

Character Creation Races: 3:18

Character Creation Basic Classes Overview (Note No Prestige): 9:01

Character Creation Brief Alignment Guide: 25:54

Character Creation Abilities Guide: 26:52

Character Creation Skill Points Guide: 29:42

Character Creation Brief Overview on Feats (Trust me there ARE SO MANY, Any questions on feats I'll reply to em in this video): 36:42

Way harder that it should be - Let's Play Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition #64

Let's Play Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, the updated version of the game that launched BioWare, now brought back to life by Overhaul Games. And to make my visit to this classic a bit more interesting, I'm playing a chaotic neutral wild mage!

Overhaul Games states that the enhanced edition is more than just a remake of the original version and that there are many differences between the two versions. The game includes three new major NPCs which may join the party, new areas to explore, a separate arena adventure, a new renderer (really good for recording), and multiplayer matchmaking abilities (which are currently in beta version).

So let's play Baldur's Gate! I'm sure it's gonna be fun, but I've done this plenty times before :)

Torment: Tides of Numenera Review - A worthy successor to Planescape: Torment? [Spoiler-free]

Torment: Tides of Numenera is an isometric story-focused RPG and a spiritual successor to one of the best games that have ever graced the genre - Planescape: Torment. Much like its predecessor Tides of Numenera features a vast amount of interesting characters, tough decisions, compelling stories, enough lore to fill out at least a couple of books, and as is tradition, completely unremarkable combat.

After spending well over a year in Early Access Tides of Numenera has now finally arrived in full. So if you're wondering whether it was worth the wait, and if its even remotely as enticing as Planescape: Torment, allow me to share my thoughts on everything I've experienced throughout my playthrough. And don't worry about spoilers as I've made sure to only use examples from the first couple of hours.

And if you're looking for some reviews, or simply want a daily dose of PC gaming news & interesting upcoming games, I welcome you to visit me at my website:
