PYRE - True Good Ending: Peaceful Revolt / Character Ending Slides

★ 7 Nightwings ( including the Reader ) and Sandra is free from Downside. Volfred and Bertrude stay behind as they dont care about returning to Commonweath that much, those two are close to eachother and they have connections down there so they better off rebuilding Downside together and turn it into a new home rather than a purgatory.

★ As for Ti'zo , everyone favorite Imp , if he really wanted to visit Commonweath, he can learn a trick or two from the Messenger Imp to travel back and forth between two world as he clearly unique and capable of doing so. Although, given time i believe they will find a way to travel between two worlds as they seem separated in physical distance instead of dimensional.

★ We shall someday reunite among the stars! For the Nightwings!

How Games Use Feedback Loops | Game Maker’s Toolkit

Playing Pyre over Christmas got me thinking about feedback loops: the reward structures in games that can reinforce or balance out winners and losers. In this episode I’ll explain what this all means, and talk about the design of Pyre’s positive and negative loops.

Pyre - Part 1

Steam Game:

This is exactly what I needed in my life right now.

Pyre - All Scribe Trials

This is a collection of all the Scribe Trials as completed in order. I played them as soon as they were made available, but our order may be different. However, the general strategies will still apply. Obviously, the better Talismans you have and the more skills your exiles have acquired, the easier the Scribe Trials will be.

Generic strategy for all trials is to banish as many adversary spirits as possible before attempting to douse into the Pyre. If you struggle, let an adversary score, preferably one that makes only 15 damage. This will give you an advantage in the following turn as you will have to take care of only two remaining adversaries.

That said, each Scribe Trial has its own additional tricks.

Rukey (0:00)
Banish one to two adversaries and try to jump into the Pyre. Demons are slow, so if you sprint a lot they are unlikely to catch up.

Jodariel (1:15)
Banish at least two adversaries before you attempt to douse. Use jumps to douse into the Pyre and, if you have the ability, to stun and push adversaries out of the way.

Hedwyn (2:24)
Banish the Demon and human spirits, don't worry too much about the cur. Use multiple jumps to avoid adversaries and douse into the Pyre.

Stowaway (3:45)
Prepare an aura cast but don't release until you are sure that the adversary in the way is on the ground. Look at their stamina and try to time the aura cast when they are running out. If you find it hard, let one douse your Pyre, they only deal 15 damage.

Ti'zo (5:00)
Fly into an adversary's way, lure them into casting their aura so they are made vulnerable for a few seconds and land right on to them! Ti'zo's aura is much bigger than the spirits'.

Sir Gilman (6:00)
This may be a bit tricky. Grab the orb and lure at least two of the adversaries into either the upper or lower half of the field, then walk around the other side. Make sure you always have some stamina left so you can douse from a distance with a jump.

Pamitha (7:09)
Banish at least two adversaries and fly into the Pyre by holding W. Remember to fly after casting Pamitha's aura as she may be vulnerable to other aura casts.

Bertrude (8:15)
Banish one adversary, grab the orb and jump behind one of the barriers at the lower half of the field (the one closer to the adversaries' Pyre). From there you can always douse with a single jump and are protected by the barrier from nearly all directions.

Volfred (9:10)
This is an aura game. Immediately cast Volfred's ability into the orb's near proximity then walk around it, trying to lure adversaries into banishment. Watch out for adversaries' combined auras - go for an adversary that has only their own aura. You will have plenty of time once the spirits are banished as they don't have much Hope.

That's it! I hope my strategies have been helpful. If you have your own tricks, feel free to share them in the comments below.

Do not read, as children do, to amuse yourself, or like the ambitious, for the purpose of instruction. No, read in order to live.'
