Link to my Twitter:

Hey guys, back with another Youtube Video and today I wanted to make a video on a rereleased game for the PC called Vanquish. Vanquish is a Third Person Shooter that's a fusion of games like Gears of War and Bayonetta with crazy bullet time and fast movement.

For this specific video, I figured I would go over some of what I think are the best guns and weapons to use and or upgrade in Vanquish. As always, if you liked this video leave a like and let me know what you think!

10 more great cult games nobody bothered to buy

A while ago we made a video about cult games nobody bothered to buy. We got so much awesome feedback on that video that we decided to make a follow-up. So here are 10 More Great Cult Games Nobody Bothered to Buy!

1. Bayonetta
We kick off our list with Bayonetta, the sexiest witch of them all. This action game is one of the best in the genre. The combat is completely over the top and depending on the difficulty settings you are in for one hell of a challenge. But with 1.5 million copies sold, game studio Platinum Studios was disappointed. Nonetheless the game got a sequel because Nintendo decided to pay for it. The Wii U exclusive sold an estimated 1 million copies.

2. Bulletstorm
Bulletstorm has to be one of the most innovative shooters in recent years. This game went over the top in terms of gameplay and dialog. Combine that with the pretty awesome point system, and you have a truly unique game. And even though the game is officially considered a commercial failure, it was praised by critics all over the world. Bulletstorm sure adds color to a genre that lacks innovation. The game is getting remastered next year so be sure to check it out!

3. Deadly Premonition
Deadly Premonition is one of those games on which everybody has a different opinion. This open world survival horror adventure game is really one of a kind. It has very basic gameplay mechanics that might annoy you, but the story and characters will surely suck you in nonetheless. This game absolutely loaded with a quirky kind of charm. With not even half a million copies sold, this is one of the most underappreciated gems of the last generation.

4. Eternal Darkness Sanity’s Requiem
Eternal Darkness Sanity’s Requiem is a great game that unfortunately didn’t do well on the Gamecube. Its unorthodox gameplay was something that was hard to grasp for the mainstream audience.

5. Killer7
Many games made by Suda 51 have not met their commercial expectations in the West. This can certainly be said of Killer7. Even though the game sold only 250.000 copies in Europe and the US, it was praised by many reviewers for its story and very unique art style. Thanks to Killer7 other games by Suda51 were brought to the West and he got to create No More Heroes. Killer7 might have limited appeal in its rail shooter gameplay, but it’s got style for days.

6. Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning
Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning is an action role playing game that’s often described as a mix between God of War and The Elder Scrolls. In one of our older videos we compared this game with World of Warcraft because the visuals sure looked similar. It’s a huge and deep role playing game with a very interesting combat system. But it was not a commercial success, despite selling two million copies.

7. Little King’s Story
Little King’s Story is one of the most underappreciated games on the Nintendo Wii. The game has been remade on the Playstation Vita and was also released on Steam. It offered a unique mix of strategy, life simulation and role playing that surprised many gamers. Don’t let the cute graphics fool you, because Little King’s Story is a deep game that will please many of you hardcore gamers out there!

8. Lollipop Chainsaw
Lollipop Chainsaw was a lighthearted addition to the third person action genre. But that didn’t make the game any less interesting. The game adds a comedic twist to the zombie killing we have seen so often in recent years. The action and camera aren’t flawless, but the overall experience Lollipop Chainsaw offers, is very entertaining. With just over 1.1 million copies sold the game is not a huge failure, but it did fail to reach the mass appeal Warner Bros was hoping for.

9. Nier
With less than a million copies sold, the action role playing game Nier can surely be called a commercial failure. Its critical reception ranges from mediocre to amazing. The game mixes all kinds of gameplay mechanics together, switching from third person action to two dimensional platforming and even a top down shoot em up. And if you finish Nier and play the game a second time, it will reveal new story elements. Nier is one of those games that gets better the more you play it.

10. Vanquish
There is a lot to like about Vanquish. In this fast paced action game you slide on your knees, while shooting guns in slow motion. The sheer amount of action on screen is amazing at times and makes this title definitely worth playing. The story is a bit crazy but who cares if you can slide around while shooting bad guys? It’s a real shame only 800 thousand people bought this amazing action game.

How the Meaning of Vanquish (and Spec Ops: The Line) Changed

Vanquish was recently re-released on PC to the delight of the cult following it has developed since 2010. Whilst the experience has remained largely unchanged, however, as a whole it meant something very different to me now than it did back then; all because of the new context under which I was playing it.

This also got me thinking about games whose themes rely on context to convey meaning. Spec Ops: The Line turns five in June, and yet the industry it was furiously reacting against has changed dramatically since then. In this episode of Writing on Games then, I want to explore just how much a shift in context can have on the meaning of a game, and what this means for the future of our medium.

Vanquish (PC) - Knee drop boosting

Covers the intro to the encounter with the KNRB-0 Argus Robot.

On that one fateful day when the PC version of bayonetta was updated on steam and had a hidden avatar from Vanquish, people were hyped. And now a new port of Vanquish is actually a thing and it's great. One of the smoothest games I've ever played.

I've only ever really played a demo on the XBOX 360 so long ago, so this is will be completely new to me. I mess up a bit at the beginning (and die to the robot), but otherwise this game just FEELS wonderful. I did feel kind of lost in the beginning though, but then the game gave me the ability to, not just boost, but boost in slow motion.

May this adventure be awesome and may I find a better codec in order to bring out better video quality for another video of this game in the future.

Hey guys, this is a video that I've wanted to make for a few months. I've been grinding out RS3 on my mobile ironman series recently and really started to find the enjoyment I had when I first played Runescape. This started off as a question to the community on why they personally play on a HCIM/IM in Runescape 3. I took the responses that I got and sprinkled in some of my personal feelings. If you've been away from the game for a few years or want to see all the changes that have happened in the early to mid game, there's nothing better than starting a new Ironman. This is my take on why you should be playing Ironman Mode.
