COMPLETING THE WORST NINTENDO SWITCH GAME (VROOM IN THE NIGHT SKY) - THAT CYBERT CHANNEL
#NintendoSwitch #eShop #ThatCybertChannel

Worst Nintendo Switch Game - Vroom in the night sky (Nintendo Switch) Review | 8-Bit Eric

This is a review of Vroom in the night sky for the Nintendo Switch, by 8-Bit Eric. This is easily one of the worst Nintendo Switch games.

Over the course of 8 stages you’ll need to navigate the skies as a Magical girl, with your goal being to collect the stars required to unlock the exit. Also littered around the night sky are “stardusts” which act as the in-game currency and allow you to buy new vehicles.

Different vehicles offer slightly altered speeds and handling, which are essential for completing the game's achievements and can unlock later levels, of which there are eight in total.

Around a minute into each level another witch comes and tries to take the stars, but she is not a threat. Each of the levels has a separate theme, whether it’s the woods at night, desert, factories, city, and so on. The game is in 3D but has incredibly poor visuals with blocky shapes .

The dialogue might be the worst I have ever seen, especially in the tutorial.. the awful translation from Japanese to English is just so bad. Also, during the game there is also dialog between the characters, and it is just so brain numbing.

The Nintendo Switch might be lacking in games right now, but Vroom in the Night Sky is one of the worst games I’ve had the ‘pleasure’ of playing and totally not worth it.

VROOM IN THE NIGHT SKY - SWITCH REVIEW

Hey everyone for this review I take on Vroom In The Night Sky for the Nintendo Switch. This is one of the worst games I have played in a bit mostly do to the flashbacks to Superman 64 I kept having lol. The whole game is you flying through rings and collecting stuff.

My reviews are 100% unbiased and I will never do one unless I am confident enough to do so. I use a scale of 1 - 10 with 5 being a average game. Many professional reviewers use 7 as a average game which I find is more of a trick to convince you the consumer that a game is better then it really is.

Vroom in the Night Sky Music - Menu

Vroom in the Night Sky, for the Nintendo Switch, is infamous for its English translation - both of them! A patch intended to improve the translation didn't quite do that, making some things better and some worse, as well as introducing misspellings.

Anyway, one thing I don't see people talk about much is its music, which is funky in that catchy Japanese kind of way. I like it. Here's the menu theme.

Another thing I wanted to point out: the title appears to be a pun, on broom. See, you're a witch riding a flying motorcycle. Witches normally ride *brooms*, but motorcycles make the sound *vroom*. Get it?

Use Your Words for Nintendo Switch Review - Is It Worth It? | 8-Bit Eric

Use Your Words works much like the Jackbox games in that players must use a secondary device (typically a phone) to play. Previously released on the Wii U, it is now available on the Switch eShop. The game acts as a central hub that everyone connects their device to using a special website and a unique code. Use Your Words the players use their smart phones (instead of a JoyCon) to control their inputs. Doing this does mean that the Switch has to have an internet connection to play. There are four different games that use your words rotates you thru every game. All of them have the same basic idea, but each of them are themed differently.

I Found The Worst Game On The Nintendo Switch...

Sky Ride is described as a fast paced game where you destroy multiple enemies over and over. Sky Ride barely fits the definition of as game essentially meeting the minimum requirements to be on the eShop and Playstation Network. These are times where it is better to ask for quality ports and not just quantity.

I Am Setsuna (Nintendo Switch) Review | 8-Bit Eric

8-Bit Eric brings to you his review of I Am Setsuna on the Nintendo Switch. Last year, I Am Setsuna released for the PlayStation 4 and PC. Setsuna is designed to feel like a JRPG from the revered SNES era, and it does it rather well. It is a turn-based JRPG with an angled top-down perspective, There’s a world map, an airship, and a never-ending stream of items to collect as you adventure from place to place.

It is easy to say Setsuna’s biggest inspiration is the one RPG that just about everyone loves: Chrono Trigger. Does this inspiration and influence actually hold back Setsuna from being a great game? Let’s check it out.

I Am Setsuna's story starts off in an interesting way. You play as Endir, a mercenary who is tasked with the assassination of a young girl by the name of Setsuna. To avoid spoilers, you soon shortly find yourself joining young Setsuna to reach The Last Lands. It is there that she will fulfill her duty as a human sacrifice--a ritual held every decade with the express purpose of somehow keeping the monsters that litter the world at bay. With the help of like-minded adventurers, you accompany Setsuna through caverns and forests, fending off creatures and thwarting--or recruiting--humans that try to stand in your way.

I Am Setsuna is set in a drab, snow-covered world, and is simply gorgeous. While it may not be particularly impressive from a technical perspective -- remember it was designed with the limitations of the PlayStation Vita in mind, -- the game's cold and wintery art direction manages to be aesthetically pleasing, and it definitely works with the tone of this game. On the surface, Setsuna plays it safe. There is honestly nothing out of the ordinary, and it might actually rely on older tried and true RPG elements, and I think it holds it back.

I Am Setsuna is a lovely little tale and a game that’s well worth your time. At ~20 hours, it never feels dull or grindy, and in fact it felt like a perfect length for what the game wants to achieve.

While it does seem a bit constrained to the snowy environment you are in compared to other RPGS such as Chrono Trigger, if you just so happen to be in the mood for a traditional JRPG, and you're looking for something to play on your newly-acquired Nintendo Switch, you should consider checking this one out.

Especially since the Nintendo Switch port is the only portable version of the game that is playable with an English localisation

They played it safe when it came to I am Setsuna, and even though I wish they tried to make something more of it, it’s definitely not a bad game.

Sky Ride for Nintendo Switch - WORST SWITCH GAME! | 8-Bit Eric

This is a review of Sky Ride for the Nintendo Switch by 8-Bit Eric. An action game in which a player will ride on a high speed bike and defeat a large group of approaching enemies. There is no explanation and no tutorial; there's nothing beyond a basic options menu that lets you invert your vertical axis, change the camera speed and see your controls. You play as a young girl riding what appears to be a flying motorbike and the level becomes infested with odd flying lantern-shaped enemies. You have your main weapon, your machine gun. you press L to shoot, you can fire bombs with the X button. These are big round shots, that give an enormous explosion which takes out hundreds of foes. The left stick moves forward backward left right and the right stick moves the aiming reticle in the center of screen.

Thumper (Nintendo Switch) Review | 8-Bit Eric

This is a review of Thumper for the Nintendo Switch by 8-Bit Eric. Thumper is a rhythm-action game where you take control of a scarab traveling at high speeds along a track, and you have to hit buttons and turn at the correct moments in rhythm

These obstacles include turns, rings, glowing bramble, and squares on the floor. Each of these track hazards requires a special button press (or a combination of buttons) to clear, failing to punch the correct button will strip away the scarab’s armor. Miss two timed button presses in a row and the level resets.

There are 9 increasingly challenging levels. Each of the nine levels is divided into (roughly) fifteen to thirty sections

Each level has a mid-boss and a final boss, which is a wicked looking monster face thing. His name is Crakhed! Play+ unlocks after beating level three and this time you pilot a faster, golden beetle.

The rules for taking damage are the same, but if you die, it’s game over, and you have to retry the entire level. HD Rumble is one of the new features that the Switch brings to the Thumper. Thumper runs at 1080p and 60 frames per second while the console is docked, and at 720p 60 FPS while in handheld mode.

The controls are simple, one button and the thumbstick, and success is dependent on hitting the button in time. It’s satisfying, addictive, and difficult, perfect package for anyone looking for short bits of fun.

The PC and PS4 versions of Thumper came out last fall and now it’s available on Nintendo Switch.  There’s no difference between this version and the original, The only real difference is the ability to take Thumper on the go
